Abstract

Our institute proudly offers a comprehensive 3 year Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery, approved and recognised by the Government of Gujarat, the Indian Nursing Council, and the Gujarat Nursing Council. With an initial allocation of 40 seats, we received approval for an increased capacity of 60 seats from the Indian Nursing Council in 2010. The academic year kicks off in October, and we admit a fresh cohort of aspiring nurses annually.
Our pioneering batch successfully graduated in February 2013, marking the commencement of a journey dedicated to nurturing skilled and compassionate healthcare professionals.

Admission Criteria

The candidates seeking admission to Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery Course shall obtain the prescribed Application form from the GNC in the month of June onwards and shall submit the dully filled in form to the Admission Committee Professional Courses of Gujarat with certificate of medical fitness from an authorized medical officer stating that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the selected course.
Duration of the course – 3 yrs (after passing 10+2)

Age limit for Admission:

The candidate should have completed the age of minimum 17 years and maximum No upper age limit


Educational qualification:

The candidate should have passed HSC/10+2 any subject with 40% marks, with English Subject and SC/ST/OBC students should have passed HSC any subject with 35% with English subject.

  • The candidates admitted for Diploma in General Nursing shall enroll their names with the Gujarat Nursing Council.


School Hours

The ordinary school day shall consist of not less than 8 hours. The school will be functioning full day from Monday to Saturday between 8.30a.m. to 4.30 p.m.


Medium of Instruction

The medium of instruction of the course will be English and Gujarati both.


Curriculum

The curriculum and the syllabi for the Diploma in General Nursing shall be prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council. Academic year starts from 1st October of every year.


Uniform

Students are required to wear the prescribed uniform of Bankers Nursing Institute during their clinical experience & community field practices. Two sets of clinical & Two sets of Class. Room uniform and Two sets of Community health nursing uniform will be provided by the school upon payment. Students shall be well groomed and disciplined at all times.


Attendance

The students are required to have minimum of 80% attendance in theory and 100% of clinical in each year to attend the Govt. Board Examination.


Holidays

A minimum of 4 weeks’ vacation will be given each year. Sunday. 15 days will be declared as National & Festival Holidays for the year.


Midwifery

Students after successful completion of the course & Registration are immediately absorbed as Full-fledged Staff Nurses in the Hospitals of Bankers Group or anywhere on regular basis with salary as per the institutional scale.
